  Hard to find a decent batter in WA (Victorian) we also usually have flake or shark, but first time I went to Kaptain Cod I decided to get their $9.50 fish n chip pack in which the fish is something called Cobbler, and I really liked it and so did my dog(who is fussier than I am) anyway the batter was better than most I have tried and the servings were good value, and the service was pleasant without me feeling like they were doing me a favour instead of the other way around.

  The paper was soaked in oil before we even opened it. Wouldn't recommend Kaptain Kod to anyone.

  Probably the worst fish and chips we have had. Even the kids said it was gross. Couldn't eat the fish as it tasted funny. The batter just fell off the fish as it was under cooked, the prawns rock hard, squid also undercooked, only okay thing was the mussels and chips.

  Once a year we'd grab fish and chips here with my nana when she was over from Victoria. We'd go down to dotti's beach and watch the sunset because back home on the East coast the sun rises from the water but here we see it slip into the ocean and it melted her heart every time.
